What will you learn about?

The GCE course allows students to study music technology as a practical, academic and creative subject, with opportunities to major in either recording or sequencing (making music on a personal computer). The study of music technology is supported by examining musical styles and contexts.

What kind of student will enjoy the courses?

Those who:

· Have studied GCSE music and wish to develop their skills and understanding.
· Students who have not studied GCSE music, but are seriously interested in developing their skills as music technologists.

Special entry requirements?

An interest and some experience of recording or sequencing/

· Recording (4 track)
· Sequencing (MIDI)
· Publishing (score printing)
· Develop knowledge of the principles and development of music technology

What could you go on to do at the end of the course?

· Degree/Diploma in music or the performing arts or combined arts
